The Family Casebook is a static site served from a content delivery network. It has no account system, no comment form, no newsletter, no shop and no appointment request, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile to build.

What is recorded

The pages themselves set no cookie and run no analytics script of their own. The delivery network that serves the site processes each request in order to deliver it, which means it sees the address of the page asked for, the Internet address the request came from and the user agent of the browser. That information is used to serve the page and to keep the service running.

The site carries no form of its own. A message sent to the address on the contact page arrives as ordinary electronic mail and is kept only as long as it takes to answer it, unless a correction discussion is still open.

What is never asked

The desk never asks a reader for a date of birth, an address, a diagnosis, a case number or any detail about a person receiving a service. A message that contains such detail is answered without it being repeated back, and the detail is deleted once the reply is sent.

This site is a publication about family social services. It is not a channel for a person in crisis, and writing to it does not reach a counselor, an agency or an emergency service.

Questions about data

A question about what this site records can be sent to contact@family-service-inc.org and is answered in writing. Since the site holds no account and no client record, the only data it can hold about a reader is a message the reader chose to send.
